What We Teach

At Sew What!, kids sew. It’s all hands-on, all the time—stitching, creating, and learning by doing.
Students use a real sewing machine every time they come, learning machine basics, how to sew straight lines and curves, lay out simple patterns, and create casings, seams, and waistbands.
We keep everything hands-on and beginner-friendly so students build real skills while having fun.
Projects Kids Love

Students create projects they’re excited about—pillows, pillowcases, aprons, tops, skirts, pajama pants, and much, much more. Each level includes guided choices, giving kids the freedom to pick projects that match their interests.
Along the way, they try out new techniques like pockets, pleats, ruffles, zippers, and buttonholes as their confidence grows.
Why Sew What!

Sew What! is a warm, welcoming place for kids to learn something new. With small-group classes and a patient, experienced teacher, students can feel comfortable exploring creative ideas and trying new techniques.
We hope they leave each class proud of what they’ve made and excited for what they’ll sew next.
